Medium-sized Zn-Pb-(Ag-Cu-W) skarn deposit, occurring in the contact zone between a granodiorite intrusion and Cretaceous volcanic rocks, and limestone and marlite of the Late Proterozoic Xiangkuang Formation. The deposit is about 600 m wide, 1700 m long and 700 m deep. About 60 orebodies have been proven in the lower contact zone of the overlying intrusion. Further below is the skarn zone, that contains the major part of the Pb and Zn minerals. Below the skarn is a granodiorite porphyry zone that contains Cu and Mo minerals and shows alteration to K feldspar, chlorite and sericite. The orebodies occur in epidote skarn zones; they are stratiform and concordant to altered rocks. The deposit minerals are mainly massive and disseminated.
