The Faraglione Nico (or Nicu) is situated prospicient the sea in a zone, very near to Porto di Levante, known as "Acque Calde".
The Faraglione Nico (or Nicu) is the locality in which there was placed the Alum Grotto (Grotta dell'Allume) collapsed in '940 years.
In literature the locality is generally described under the accomunate toponym of "Baia di Levante" that means the small gulf where is the port (see also Faraglione Ranni and Vulcanello mindat localities).
