(Pegmatit Hagendorf-Süd (Grube Cornelia; Tagebau Hagendorf-Süd), Hagendorf, Waidhaus, Vohenstrauß, Oberpfälzer Wald, Oberpfalz, Bayern, Deutschland)
Zoned granitic phosphate pegmatite worked mainly for feldspar. During the 1950s, also around 1000 tons of triphylite were mined for its high lithium content. The deposit was first explored by an open cut from 1894 to the 1920s. From 1928 to 1964, it was worked through several shafts. In that year, the lease was taken over by the "Amberger Kaolinwerke", driving a new main shaft (Cornelia shaft) down to the 115 m level and starting to work the deposit from the open cut again. This and the mine were closed in 1984.
Located SW of Hagendorf, 2.5 km NW of Waidhaus and about 9 km ENE of Vohenstrauß.
