Wheal Britannia (Wheal Moor), Mount Wellington Mine, Gwennap area, Camborne - Redruth - St Day District, Cornwall, England, UK

A small mine, working seven NE-trending lodes within a transverse distance of 550 yards in a narrow tract of land west of the road leading to United Downs. Five of the lodes were opened up by shafts, but the workings do not appear to extend much below adit. The mine was later included in the Mount Wellington Mine sett. In 1940, some exploration was carried out at Wheal Jewel shaft, but no further development resulted.

The coordinates given are those of Wheal Jewel shaft, which is marked by a large burrow in a field just west of Sunny Corner.
