Mežica (Miess), Slovenia

Pb-Zn mineralizations in triassic limestones, similar to those at Bad Bleiberg in Carinthia.
The Mezica mining district is located near the Austrian border - the area was part of Carinthia before the first world war.

Note on the mineral list: Rečnik et al. (2009) also mention an unidentified "Pb-Zn-carbonate Pb0.5ZnO.5(CO3)2 containing traces of Ca and Cd" [possibly an intermediate (ordered?) member between cerussite and smithsonite].
