Lake Amboseli, Rift Valley Province, Kenya

Seasonal lake with very alkaline water, usually dry and extremely dusty. Most of the "lake" is inside Amboseli National Park, although the southwestern end is outside park boundaries. The "meerschaum" variety of sepiolite was mined here.
