Ritter Mine, Schneeberg District, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany

The Ritter mine was first mentioned in 1471 and operated until 1659. It was located in the center of the city of Schneeberg, only a few metres from the present St. Wolfgang church. Temporary access in the beginning of the 1990s and since 2008 during stabilisation and radon restructuring works underneath the church square (Kirchplatz).
