Highly sulfurous epithermal veins associated with dacitic volcanics hosted in Miocene shales of the Negro Peinado and Mogotes Formations. Includes the La Mejicana mine, Upulungus mine, and diverse other prospects and adits. Most important veins are the San Pedro and the Upulungus.
