Ref::www.wma-minelife.com/uranium/papers/karnes.htm; Cherepon, Alan J., Minerals of the Karnes Uranium District - The Franklin of Texas; Smith, A.E. (1991), Texas Mineral Locations Index, Rocks & Min.: 66(3). This district is located about 45 miles South of San Antonio. The uranium deposits of this district are overlain by tuffaceous sandstone.
