(Dirupo Forcel Rosso, Monte Foppa (fianco nord), Massiccio dell'Adamello, Parco Naturale Adamello-Brenta, Brescia, Lombardia, Italia)

First discovery of a gem-bearing LCT pegmatite in the Alps. Discovered by Mr. Giancarlo Celio, a collector, in November, 1999. The pegmatite field is hosted in the thermometamorphic aureole of the tonalitic Adamello pluton (Alpine age). Maximum pegmatite vein widths are 1.5 meters and many tens of meters long. NOTE: This locality is within one of the protected zones of the park and collecting is prohibited.
