Malkhan pegmatite field (Malchan), Krasnyi Chikoy, Chitinskaya Oblast', Transbaikalia (Zabaykalye), Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia

A field of complex granitic pegmatites located south-east of Lake Baikal, about 100 km from Ulan-Ude. The pegmatites were discovered in 1980 by Russian exploration geologists, and are known for recent production of pink and polychrome elbaite, and other pegmatite minerals.
