Corporation quarry, Montréal, Québec, Canada

This quarry, operated in the late 1800s and early 1900s, was on the north northeast slope of Mont Royal one of the Monteregian Hills. It is now buried under the Université de Montréal Sports Complex. It is the co-type-locality for caresite (Chao & Gault 1997). The associated minerals are given in the paper. The Corporation quarry is also a Dana locality for native arsenic. Of historical interest is that one of the earliest publication of minerals from the quarry was by A. Lacroix in 1890 (THE Lacroix of "Mineralogie de France" etc.).
