(Goldgruben, Alteck, Wurten, Innerfragant, Goldberggruppe, Hohe Tauern, Kärnten, Österreich)

Outcrops of gold-bearing quartz veins, hosted by granite-gneisses and metavolcanic rocks on the east and southeast slopes of Alteck mountain. In the past, the veins were worked by several mines, of which some abandoned adits still remain. More such veins are situated further southeast, north of the Hochwurten reservoir. Gold has also been found in mineralized clefts, just east of the reservoir.
