    ]
    Type Locality: Bad Bleiberg, Bleiberg District, Gailtaler Alpen & Karnische Alpen Mts, Carinthia, Austria
    Habit: tabular with (001) and (110) as the predominant faces very common, also prismatic and bipyramidal, to several cm
    Colour: colourless, pale yellow, lemon-yellow, honey-yellow, orange, red, yellowish green, grey, black
    Description: Occurrences of wulfenite were first noted at both Bleiberg and the Nepomuk mine near Annaberg, Lower Austria (Born, 1772). The characterization of the mineral however (crystallography: Wulfen, 1785, chemistry: Klaproth, 1792) was carried out on material from Bleiberg.
