Canta Galo mine, Nova Era, Iron Quadrangle, Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil

Emerald deposit, hosted in a contact zone of migmatites and granitic gneisses with granodioritic and granitic gneisses. The deposit is located close to the Canta Galo pegmatite, which provided the beryllium needed for its formation.

Coordinates given are those of the Canta Galo pegmatite.
