Ray Mica Mine (Wray Mine), Hurricane Mt., Burnsville, Black Mtn-Bowlens Creek Area, Spruce Pine District, Pisgah National Forest, Yancey Co., North Carolina, USA

The Ray Mica Mines are located on Hurricane Mountain, 3.8 miles SSE of Burnsville (now only about 2 miles due to growth of the town), in the Bolen's Creek Area.

Mineralization is a mica-rich pegmatite. Additional commodities include U & Th.

Workings include 10 verticle shafts, which remain open.
