Davis Pyrite Mine (Davis Mine), Rowe, Franklin Co., Massachusetts, USA

A pyrite mine located about 5 miles North of Charlemont. Hawley "Mineral Belt" stratabound massive Fe-(Zn-Cu-Pb) sulfide deposit.(Note: This site contains a number of unidentified Ag & Bi tellurides.) Started 1882, closed 1910. Owned by Herbert J. Davis.
