Phyllite outcrops, Jasov, Eastern Slovenské Rudohorie Mts, Košice Region, Slovakia

(Jasov, Slovenské Rudohorie, Košický Kraj, Slovenská Republika)

Meliata unit from the southern part of the central west Carpathians: HP glaucophane-chloritoid psammopelitic formations (shales, pelites, greywackes, sandstones and conglomerates) often occuring together with calcite marbles containing layers of mafic blue schists.

In Jasov, phyllitic rocks (metapelites and metaconglomerates) are in tectonic contact with the upper marble unit.
