Chromdiopside gabbroic granulite layer, Horoman peridotite body, Samani-cho, Samani-gun, Hidaka Province, Hokkaido Island, Japan

Type II layer : Chromdiopside mafic gabbroic granulites (plagioclase-rich cumulates of the upper mantle) (age : 830 Ma).
These mafic layers (mm to m thickness scale) are parallel to foliation plane of the peridotites.
The assemblages are due to subsolidus reaction.
