Kalkfeld complex, Kalkfeld, Damaraland District, Kunene Region, Namibia

Carbonatite complex (calcite carbonatites and nephelinites) and quartzite host-rocks.
The quartz crystals of the quartzite show numerous solid microinclusions of halides and carbonates precipitated from pristine hydrous carbonate melts (carbonatite-derived fluid trapped under closed-system conditions).
