(Pico del Teide)

Teide peak, elevation 3718 m, is a dormant stratovolcano. Sulfur is found in fumaroles at the summit. Augite is sparsely found in the volcanic rocks. The area lies within in the Cañadas del Teide National Park, therefore mineral collecting is strictly prohibited.
