Ombretta Pass, between the southern side of Punta Penia (Marmolada massif) and the northern side of Cime de Ombreta, connects Val Rosalia to Valle Ombretta, Malga Ciapéla, Pettorina Valley (Rocca Piétore, Belluno province, Veneto).

Minerals (hyaline and amethyst quartz, calcite, zeolites) occur in volcanic rocks intercalated with carbonate rocks.
