A nugget weighing 1621 ounces was found in 1871 by Ah Chang and party, known as "The Precious".

"The Precious" was named after Precious C Williams who first owned the land on which the nugget was found.

The National Library of Australia has a photo: Call Number PIC P838/2043 LOC Cold store SEA Box 26.

A plaster cast of the nugget is on display at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.
