Name(s) in local language(s):
Långharsholmen, Sundsvalls kommun, Medelpad, Sverige

This locality is called Långörsholmen in the original texts about knopite. A modern search of that name comes up with no hits. A bit of research reveals that the name has been changing over the ages. An even older way of spelling the name was Långarsholmen. Apparently the spelling was changed again because now the locality is known under the name of Långharsholmen.
The older "Långörsholmen" version is literally translated into "Long gravel island" while the modern spelling is just a name with roots in the old spelling.

Långharsholmen is today a natural reserve and collecting on the island is not allowed.

Similar material as on the island can also be found as loose rocks at the Alnön island facing the Långharsholmen.
