Mine de Clersanges, Saint-Pal-de-Senouire, La Chaise-Dieu, Haute-Loire, Auvergne, France
This deposit is composed of 3 fluorite-baryte veins hosted in a porphyroïd granite (La Chaise-Dieu granite). The main vein has been operated for fluorite and/or baryte during the early 20th century but all adits are collapsed now and only some trenches remain...
The fluorite is generally of bad quality (many cleavages and frosted surface), but sometimes with nicely coloured parts (blue crystals with yellow core).
