A former silica deposit/mine located in sec. 11, T6N, R4W, SBM, 2.5 km (1.6 miles) NE of Quartzite Mountain (coordinates of record) and 2.9 km (1.8 miles) S of Silver Mountain (coordinates of record). Owned & operated by the Southwestern Portland Cement Company, California (1992). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Local rocks include Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Mojave Desert).

Workings include unspecified surface openings (the USGS MRDS database file infers a quarry operation in its title).
