Old silver mine. Silver was discovered here in 1728 by two local prospectors, Ingebret Soner and Tollef Trondsen. Named after the Danish-Norwegian king Christian 6.
It was worked by Kongsberg Sølvverk until 1790, by Vinoren Sølvverk 1857-1878 and by Trollerud Sølvverk 1912-1913. The depth of the mine is about 320 m.
