A fluorite mine. The largest of three veins, the east vein, was worked by Lovat Frazer from about 1908 to 1917, and was said to have produced about 3,500 tons of fluorspar. The mine was then operated by American Wire & Steel of Worcester, Mass., from 1917 to 1923, and reportedly produced another 3,000 tons. New Hampshire Fluorspar Company worked the west vein from 1935 to 1937. United Feldspar & Minerals Corp. operated the mine in 1938. (Bardill, 1946)
