A placer gold deposit area along Groom Creek from 4 to 6 miles South of prescott. Started in the 1860's.
Mineralization is placer gold derived from quartz veins contained within the local Precambrian schist, which has been intruded by diorite, granodiorite, granite & dikes of rhyolite porphyry.
