Stratabound deposit, hosted in carbonaceous shales.
One of the world's largest gold deposits. Also a PGE deposit.

The ore genesis is related to metamorphic/metasomatic transformations of geochemically specialized carbon-bearing sediments. The platinum/native metals mineralizations preceded the gold ore stage. The reduced metal forms, including PGE, originated during hydrogen-induced reduction coupled with oxidation of hydrocarbons. Gold-bearing quartz-pyrite veinlets were deposited from hot brine hydrothermal fluids.
