Samson stoll ligger ca. 85 m høyere i terrenget enn Gamle gruve. Den har retning 156° de ytterste 40 m inntil en brå sving mot øst før den forsetter med retning 130° langs en sleppesone (310°/80°). Denne er trolig drevet langs en parallell mineralisert gang (A. Johnsons Minde). Totalt skal stollen være drevet ca. 100 m. Stollen følger er lys grønn, amfibolrik bergart med varierende kobberkis, pyritt og magnetkis disseminasjon. Den overlagres av en pegmatitt med svak kobberkis mineralisering ved inngangen. Sinkblende er ikke observert i fast fjell. På tippen (ca. 400 m³) er det enklere å finne stuffer med kobberkis enn sinkblende, men massiv kobberkis-sinkblende malm i amfibol dominert matriks forekommer (prøve .11). Semi-massiv til kraftig disseminert kobberkis i biotitt-amfibol-kvarts rik bergart finnes både på tipp (.12) og i stollåpningen. Massiv kobberkis rik, magnetkis med kvartsittiske fragmenter er også prøvetatt på tippen (.13). Disse prøvene er også de eneste med noe anrikning av gull fra Saudaforekomsten (0,6-0,9 ppm Au).
