Comments:The first US locality for Tochilinite, collected in the summer of 1975 by Byron Brookmeyer. Some of the most complete data published on the properties of Tochilinite were compiled using specimens collected by Mr. Brookmeyer at Grace mine.
Habit:aggregate in Gypsum associated with enhydro inclusions, on calcite and laminate coatings on calcite
Colour:Black greasy Graphite-like, also coatings giving calcite a Bronzy appearance
UV Fluorescence:none
Quality of samples:Good crystals or rich for species - important (!)
