| | Description | |
| Comments: | Massive: Purple common in host rock (ass. by fine-scaled mica) and as finegrained mixture with Topaz and/or Cryolite. Pale green and smoky patches occur in massive Cryolite. Brick-red in host-rock; most 'Bøggildte' in collections is massive, brick-red Fluorite.
Crystals: Rare. Bøggild (1953) describes black (purple in thin splinters) crystals (dominant octahedron, subordinate cube and dodecahedron) on Quartz xx. I (Claus Hedegaard) have not seen this and suspect they have been washed out of massive Cryolite. Occasional druses of poorly shaped crystals lining 5-15 mm pockets in host rock are known. Rare, dark purple, dodecahedral crystals imbedded in coarse, pale brown Siderite (one boulder -> several specimens in Claus Hedegaard collection). | | Habit: | Massive, 110, 111, 100 | | Colour: | Purple, pale green, greyish, brick-red | | UV Fluorescence: | None | | Quality of samples: | Poor for species, only of interest for locality collectors.
