| Comments: | Felted layers on joints in contact rocks. At station 7 it occurred as coarsely fibrous, silky masses of pure material, up to 8 cm long and 5 mm thick. Occurs in a coarse quartz-calcite-epidote vein of pegmatite texture. At station 18 it occurs in blade-like crystals averaging 5 x 30 mm, as aminor constituent of an altered pegmatite cutting quartz diorite (Woodford, A.O., Crippen, R.A., and Garner, K.B. (1941), American Mineralogist). |
