Description
Habit:usually platy, or bar-shaped
Colour:from colorless to dark teal, with a whole array of purples in between.

Comments
Occurs as water-clear, flat, barrel-shaped crystals, which are more or less included with actinolite needles, often arranged in clusters. Often broken during extraction, making it hard to get undamaged specimens, or even a single crystal.
Also as opaque crystals on matrix, which are rather bar-shaped. The color goes from milky white to deep green, from the very numerous actinolite inclusions.
