Comments:	Adamantine luster; much coated on crystal faces a bright metallic black with Mn & Fe oxides. Large, relatively pure, crystalline masses of medium grain.
Habit:	Dodecahedral, some to nearly 5 cm diameter; rhombohedral faces striated
Colour:	Dark reddish and brownish-green or dark greenish-brown
