Type Locality:Fengjiashan Mine (Daye Copper mine), Edong Mining District, Daye Co., Huangshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, China is the type locality for Hubeite
Comments:Hubeite is a new mineral discovered in year 2001 by The Rocksmiths, US mineral dealers. It was previously called babingtonite and manganbabingtonite in error.
Quality of samples:Excellent - world class for species or very significant. (!!)
