| Comments: | Erdmann describe what he thinks ia a new mineral as "bamblite", from a locality '1 mile south of Brevig' (Bamble area). This proved later to be sillimanite.
Sillimanite is not uncommon in gneisses and pegmatites related to gneisses in Bamble. |
