A former talc-soapstone occurrence/mine located in sec. 5, T9N, R10E, MDM, 1.9 km (1.2 miles) E of Shingle Springs. Operated during the period 1919 to 1928. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. T&R section uncertain, described as 1 mile E of Shingle Springs.

Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.

Workings include surface openings comprised of an open pit. Processing plant was located in Alameda County. Mine operated for 2 months of the year. Employed 1 at the mine.

Soapstone was shipped for use as a roofing coating.

10 years of reserves were reported.
