A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the E½ (estimated) sec. 3, T17N, R13E, MDM, 1.9 km (1.2 miles) E of Old Man Mountain (coordinates of record), on the W shore of lower Fordyce Lake, E of Fordyce Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Calaveras Complex (quartz & diorite). The ore body strikes N70W and dips 70S at a thickness of 0.61 meter. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
