Map links

For the US, I have added links to the national map viewer from the USGS, etc. on the links page for maps from the locality page. The default is a shaded relief map, but you can also pick topographic sheets and add other layers. These can include options such as geologic maps if a digitized version is available.

The map for the Blanchard mines shows them to be north of highway 380. In fact they are 3-5 miles (I forgot the exact distance) SOUTH
of highway 380. Virgil Lueth of New Mexico Tech should be able to give you the exact location. John S.

A lot of the earlier localities actually had the coordinates of the nearest town (I am guessing the coordinates were for Bingham and the north of road was due to rounding to minutes). Input the real coordinates and they show properly on the map page, but I think that the map on the main page may be messed up by caching of the google map.
