Diamond is the second expensive minerals to be discovered.

It has many colours among which are; Blue, White, and others.

What other minerals follow in that type apart from Trydimite which has just been discovered recentr?

Pictures of diamonds with different colours.

The fist person to:

discover diamonds

explore diamonds into other items

make weapons from diamonds.

Wayne,

Have you ever heard of Paradise Falls in Newport, NY? If so, do you know if it's on private property? I go to Ace of Diamonds all the time, I did the guided mining for the first time this year and got some incredible Herkimer diamonds. Do you know the location of the falls? Any help is much appreciated! Thank you.

Yes that is a private location. It is in Newport.Owners are in the process of deciding if they will open to the public.Hard to tell at this point if it will be a good site?

Steve,

This area is open for guided mining, I just found his out this past week. I'll be checking it out in a few weeks, I can always let you know how good it is and if the fee is worth it.

I LOVE herkimer Diamond mining. There is a place. Maybe 20 minutes from ace. Its a private property but you can pay the wom a n $2 a person to dig for the day. The herks I pulled from there over the course of a week were absolutely stunning. The property is right past an amish farm. I can't remember her name. You can even get a claim. $150 for the year.

We had a fun a fun time at Paradise Falls this past weekend

In a nutshell :

Its a private site that you can pay to dig on

We just surface picked and found the above image plus bunches of smaller stuff

Two other groups dug out pockets and had great days - all their stuff was bigger better and not as beat up

Our guide was great - dude had a ton of historical info about the area and it was pretty entertaining

No need to bring tools as they had more than enough at the site

I def recommend it
