The crystal on the photo is more similar to so usual for sanidinites magnetite crystal rather then to hercynite. I would give only 5% probability for hercynite against 95% for magnetite here.

this one is analyzed by Günter Blass. I think You can rely on his result.

it is very common that Hercynite and Magnetite occur in the same ejectum and sometimes one can find epitactical intergrowth of Magnetite on Hercynite.
