I am not sure this is Kulanite. It appears to be closer to Lazulite in colour and does not have the platy habit of most Kulanite. Has it been analyzed?
Hi Richard,
I really do not know if this so called kulandite has been analyzed. I purchased this from a Canadian dealer several years.
I would be more than willing to delete this specimen, if necessary or rename it.
Thank you for your opinion.

Hi Richard:

Have a look at the Kulanite in my photo #426540 and the green plates in the lower portion of #436001 to see why your sample looks so different from normal Kulanite. If you have a chance to look at the Mineralogical Record Special Issue on the Yukon Phosphates you will see how characteristic Kulanite is in appearence. One other photo from the top of the crystal might help as all of the thick Kulanite crystals are end-to-end twins.

Hope this helps.
