The cavity at the top of this specimen has a lining of 1 mm white platy tetragonal crystals with a strong violet response in SW UV and a weaker violet response in LW UV. The plates grow face to face in rough botryoidal coatings. The UV data does not match any of the published data for MSH that I have found so far. Would any of the MSH specialists have seen a similar phase?
