PhotosCarminite - Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia

Are you sure that this is carminite? I've never seen carminite with scorodite from tsumeb, but I have seen scorodite in association with its monoclinic dimorph, mawbyite (also from tsumeb.)

Hello Leor,

Carminite does occur with scorodite at Tsumeb. I have a large specimen of blue scorodite on anglesite with small carminite crystals intimately associated with gartrellite. Just as an aside, this specimen came out of a very old collection and it was originally labeled as "liroconite" from Tsumeb.
