The acicular crystals on the lower right side and far left side of the photograph are Gormanite but the platy greenish phase in the center is Kulanite (sl).

Hi Rob:


If you use the RRUFF data then these are all in the Gormanite-Souzalite paragenesis; that is why I used (sl) for the series. This looks like the Bobdownsite paragenesis. I talked to Kim Tait about the non-Bobdownsite minerals and at that date they had not been analyzed for either Mg/Fe or F.

That description is much clearer. There is a great deal of data on the RC-BFR minerals including good descriptions of the various sub-localities.

All unanalyzed Gormanites from the Yukon should be labeled Gormaite-Souzalite series, at least in the caption as you have done. Thanks.
