Narrow down Mexican bournonite

Narrow down Mexican bournonite
April 08, 2012 05:51PM
Hi
Can anyone help me narrowing down the origin of this Mexican bournonite. It is said to come from Zacatecas, but this is a large district....
it is associated with quartz and calcite on a matrix made of sphalerite and pyrite. It was initially purchased in Arizona in the 1980s. The bournonite crystal is ca. 15 mm long.

thanks

Hi,
The most likely source for this is Concepcion del Oro, Zacatecas.
