old post new pics

I took these pics in natural bright light, i don't think the vein is mica ? also am i right in thinking this piece contains rose, clear and smoky quarz?

ps if the close ups are as bad for you as they are for me on site ile wipe the pics? as ive said before there is nothing wrong with the close ups else were!

It's milky quartz (if you want to give it a gem name), with some iron staining.

Thanks Jolyon are the small ares of clear quartze a result of these parts not being stained?

Think these pics were what i whanted to post sorry.

Still iron-stained quartz......and as far as the vein is concerned it was mentioned way back that silver is a soft metal and will react like lead to being hammered....

Thanks Don but how can clear transparent parts of this piece be stained? also i would rather not know than have to hit this piece with a hammer!

You could try soaking it a bucket of water and Super Iron Out (SIO) for a day, that will remove most all the iron stain, but the deepest.
