Bought this 10 years ago at a rock and mineral store. Forgot the name of it!

I think it has a hardness of 7 because it couldnt scratch quartz and quartz couldnt scratch it back.

Perhaps a piece of feldspar?

Can't see any cleavage plane and the fracture looks as conchoidal. Could be bluish quartz or beryl (aquamarine).

It looks like beryl to me. Try scratching a piece of quartz with it. If it is beryl (H = 7.5 to 8) it should scratch the quartz, but with a bit of difficulty.

WOW, I did a second scratch test. With enough pressure it did scratch the quartz.
